Basic techniques of Digital Photography : Shutter Speed

Digital photography make easy for us to learn photography, the result can be reviewed on the LCD window, so that we can evaluate it, as do the technical data associated with the shot is seen and recorded. While in Conventional Photography, we have to print them to see the result, reviewing and evaluating it, we have to record technical data, it takes a lot of cost and time to improve the ability of our photography

Art of Digital Photography is like painting with light, in this case the camera and lens that replaces the role of brush and paint. There are two most important things in the camera and lens, the Shutter Speed and aperture

Shutter Speed is the length of time required to illuminate the CMOS sensor or CCD on the digital cameras and film on conventional camera. On the camera body is shown the figures 250,125,60,30,15 and so on. This means that the duration of illumination is 1 / 250 sec, 1 / 125 sec, 1 / 60 seconds, and so on.

The bigger number means the faster time to use, this will create the freeze effect, for example, we will shot the moving object, like car, with the freeze effect, we need shutter speed at least  above 1 / 125 seconds

Conversely if we want to shot the object with moving effect, then the shutter speed required  is less than 1 / 125 seconds, preferably we shot the objectt by following the movement of the object, this technique called panning,

It also will depend on the speed of the object, the more rapidly object, it will require higher shutter speed to acquire the freeze or the moving effects that we want, Note, the lower shutter speed, will also lead to the greater possibility of a camera shaking , will cause the results to be blurred

To be safe, use the shutter speed above 30 or 1 / 30 seconds. If you really want lower shutter speed, like 1 / 15 sec, 1 / 8 seconds or lower, use a buffer or tripod.
