Nowaday, we realize that documentating a moment in a form of picture is very important. With digital camera , we will be more easy to achieve the desire we have. However, before buying a digital camera, there are a few tips which can help you to decide the best digital camera for you:

1. The Megapixel thing

Many ads expose the megapixel, but also many of us do not understand what we need.Usually, the larger of a camera megapixel, the price will also be more expensive, but unfortunately it’ll not guarantee a better picture quality. Actually, digital camera with 2 megapixel image is enough for daily purpose, you also can put the result on your PC and printed up to size 6R. If you have to print on the larger size then use a digital camera with at least 3 megapixel. The larger picture you have to print will require the bigger megapixel. However, with a little megapixel you still can print it on the large paper, but sometimes the results will be looked blurred.

2. The battery and the charger

It is very recommended you buy digital camera using lithium battery. If it used, you just have to charge it. Some digital camera using AA battery type. If you use this type, We always recommend to use the rechargeable battery type. The price will be little more expensive than ordinary battery, but you can use it several times (can be recharged up to 500 times the normal), then the price of this battery will be much more cheap. But be careful not to buy the fake rechargeable battery.

3. Optical Zoom (and Digital Zoom)

Optical images zoom is different with the digital zoom. Try to get a camera with at least 2x optical zoom. Most digital cameras have optical zoom facility, and this is very useful for the far distance object. Do not be confused digital zoom, almost every digital camera has digital zoom facility, but the results of the zooming using digital zoom will be scattered and blur.

We suggest always try to avoid the digital zoom. Digital zoom can also do with the software on the PC.

4. Help facility for low light condition

In the low light conditions, it is usually difficult to get the camera focus before we shoot the object. Therefore, some digital cameras are equipped with light assistance (various shapes), which works to help the image on the place that is less light. This is very important especially in indoor photography.

5. The memory Storage

Some cameras have internal memory inside, but the capacity is usually not large enough. Therefore, we must ensure that our digital camera equipped with a port for external memory, so that we can provide additional memory according to our needs. There are different types of memory that can be used in digital  cameras,types and shapes are usually tailored to the type of digital camera. The price varies, but the larger capacity, then the price will be more expensive.

6. Try it first

Digital camera, as the other digital media, is featured by menus and buttons for the controller. Some are user friendly and easy to understand, some are more complicated. Yu can make decision after you try first. 8. Enhancements

Many digital cameras are equipped with additional features, one which is always available is the ability to record moving images (video). For the digital camera, this feature only as an additional and very limited ability. Please you do not determine the decision to buy a digital camera from the camera’s ability to record video. Results from the video recording digital camera is not good, a digital camera is designed for maximum result of static images. If you want to record a video, you should consider to buy handycam or a similar tool that was made to record video.

9. Consider to Buy a card reader

Card reader is a tool that is used to read the memory card on digital camera. At the time we buy a digital camera, it must have included cable and driver to transfer / move images from camera to computer. However, if we using a tool called a card reader, then we will save time to transfer from the camera to the computer and done in an easy way. Beside that using a card reader is not needed the camera to be turned on which means will save the battery.
